candidate must

Menu planning: Chefs create menus and adjust prices based on ingredient availability.

Food preparation: Chefs study recipes, prepare dishes, and ensure high quality.

Kitchen management: Chefs lead and direct kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and develop processes to improve efficiency.

Food safety: Chefs monitor sanitation practices, ensure food safety standards, and inspect supplies and equipment.

Inventory management: Chefs order and maintain food and supply inventory.

Staff management: Chefs hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers.

Collaboration: Chefs collaborate with the general manager and owner to align kitchen operations with the business goals.

Hygiene standards: Chefs ensure proper hygiene standards are maintained.

Chefs need to be able to work under pressure and balance creativity with the business needs of the establishment. They also need to be able to spot and resolve problems efficiently, and have strong communication and leadership skills.
