Job description:

• Plan, organize, and supervise the daily transportation operations of a company or organization
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to transportation activities
• Ensure compliance with government regulations regarding safety, personnel, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• Monitor and track employee work hours and ensure that vehicles and personnel are properly scheduled
• Develop and manage transportation budgets and records
• Supervise and train drivers, dispatchers, and other personnel
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and technical issues
• Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities

Requirements:

• Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in transportation operations.

• Plan and assign work schedules and work routes.
• Interview and hire personnel for positions.
• Train personnel in operations and safety procedures.
• Inspect vehicles and issue maintenance and repair orders.
• Enforce applicable safety regulations.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
