Accountant Job in Doha, Qatar

Description:

seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record in a similar or higher-level accounting role. Experience in the landscape and irrigation industry will be an additional advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
• Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors.
• Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Develop and implement training programs for the finance team.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets.
• Provide financial analysis and forecasting.
• Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches, and/or new service offerings.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Prepare and file annual tax returns and ensure timely payments.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure proper audit procedures are followed.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.

Operational Efficiency:

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
• Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience at a similar or higher level.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in any industry is acceptable, but experience in the landscape and irrigation industry will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
