Sous Chef-Temporary Position

Location : Doha, Qatar

Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to support a luxury hospitality establishment in Qatar for a temporary position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in upscale dining environments, strong leadership skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. Immediate availability and local presence in Qatar are required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service coordination.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Monitor kitchen inventory, order supplies, and minimize food wastage.
• Oversee the performance of junior chefs, ensuring consistency in food preparation across all sections.
• Step into the Head Chef’s role during their absence, taking full responsibility for kitchen operations.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of recipes to meet guest expectations and luxury standards.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• A diploma or certification in culinary arts or equivalent training is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment.
• Exceptional culinary expertise across multiple kitchen sections.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Other Requirements:

• Locally available in Qatar.
• Immediate availability for joining.
