Description:

CNC Woodworking Operators are skilled individuals who use Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to cut and shape wooden pieces for various applications.

They are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of these machines and the quality of the products they produce.

Duties and Responsibilities

• • Interpreting and implementing blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing wooden parts
• • Programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
• • Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
• • Inspecting and measuring finished products to ensure they meet requirements
• • Conducting regular CNC machine maintenance to ensure effective operation
• • Adjusting machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• • Checking machinery on a daily basis to ensure functionality
• • Reporting any machine malfunctions to maintenance personnel
• • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and comply with safety regulations
• • Documenting and updating production records, including data entry in computer systems
• • Assisting in other woodworking tasks as needed
